Hmmm I'm not sure I like this idea. I love wolf roleplays but I get kinda fed up with the rivalries between dogs and wolves. I mean, dogs would have a hard time surviving in the wild(though that's like arguing that wolves don't talk) but still. Perhaps a wolf dog or something a little more wild a little more safe. Yeah know? I'm not completed sold but I haven't dropped the idea either.

I'm ashamed to be changing this early-on into the board, but I'm guessing that the reason people aren't really joining is because they've seen so many wolf roleplays. I want to make our board something special- unique. Would you guys rather see something with wolves AND another animal or something with a complete species change like lions or deer? I'd prefer perhaps a snazzhappy little plot that has a lot going for it in style and uniqueness. I could work something up, if that wouldn't be of a bother. But I'd rather not bring in canines. They're too cliche. Perhaps something like a prehistoric montage, maybe these wolves aren't in the present time, and that they live in fear of the Dire Wolf and Sabretooth? With his fangs so sharp he sneaks up and snatches pups and the like away from the weaker Timber wolves. Perhaps Izlandi can find itself, buried within the depths of the time periods. If it did go prehistoric though, no dinosaur's. Hell, we could even have a ice age! If you like this idea, then let me know, and I can work out a plot whilst I'm camping. ^^

Well, it's not so much that I don't like my original plot. Because I'm sure Autumn is the first to be in the middle of an all-out "war", but I easily get bored of wolves. I'd probably have more success if this were a roleplay that nobody has really seen be "successful", which is why I leaned more in the direction of a lion roleplay. But, don't get me wrong, I adore wolves. I think warping Autumn back to a prehistoric age would be a bit difficult, as we hardly know anything about the life "back in the day."
I'll see if I can think of something to stimulate my inspiration again. Thanks for your ideas, babe. You've totally devoted yourself to this site and I appreciate it. ^_^

A new character introduction (ermm rather species) would be interesting. Lions would be rather fun, I love things that growl -cuddle-. But as much as it may seem idealistic, I still don't want dogs.
No problem Bonza!

I know that Accle, you're seriously opposed to the idea of adding canines into the game, but I'm thinking about perhaps letting the rule pass. I think it would give our site a bit of flare and attract some nervous members. I always like to respect a member's opinion, but what do you guys think? Everybody, please put in your two cents.
Soon some vocab for our little Izland will be added to the Game Manual, keep an eye out.
edit: How would you feel about red deer/elk?

Some sort of deer species would be very VERY interesting. The only issue with making a prey animal role playable is the fact that, well, they can get eaten by wolves. So people might get a bit upset with their characters being eaten and killed and such.
Perhaps we could create some new species of deer (like white deer or something) that live up in his hidden and secret place that the wolves are not allowed to kill due to some sort of old wolf law or something. The mountainous deer could come down once and a while; but even so they are like 'untouchable' because maybe, like, if a wolf was to kill these rare 'holy' deer, they would be cursed and/or shunned by their fellow pack members.
Or something like that xD

That's quite possible, Atil. But after reading The Fire Bringer (Very good book, I do recommend it.) I've realized that wolf attacks to the deer are few and far between. I think if the deer came to pass, I'd have to allow a few other animal species in as well. Not as full-fledged, accountable animals that could be made freely, but maybe upon request from the members. If people read the book (Which they don't have to, it's just a possibility.) then we could kind of follow the storyline of that. It has wolves in it, as does Fell and the Sight.
More ideas coming, but now I must retreat to my bed. Good night, lovelies.
Edit: I think, that was we add more features to the game, I'll be making some cool things like a God [Herne, maybe? From Fire Bringer series. But that might disobey copyright laws.] and I'll burrow deeper into the details such as where we're located and such. This will all be pondered over the next few days.

Ya, i read Fire Bringer, amazing book!
Then, like you said before, making red deer would be the best idea. That way they are big enough to perhaps fight back if attacked, unlike white tail or fallow deer or something. As long as there isn't a huge massacre of deer it should be perfectly fine.
Other animals (i.e. bear, birds, mountain lions, etc.) would be very interesting. But like you said they cant be just freely created. PMing you/staff would be a good idea, and perhaps you could make an audition for like 3 premade 'other' animals that people could try out for. Also, these extra animals could come in handy as prizes in any sort of competition that the site could hold. I think that, for sure, role playing a bear or something would prove to be very interesting.
A God is also something awesome. Maybe not Herne or something so its not copyright; but maybe a universal God that transforms into whatever form the believer is? Like a wolf God would be a wolf, deer God would be a deer, etc. It would ultimately be one God, but most of the animals believe its separate, perhaps causing fighting between species over that topic.
I have lots of ideas lately xD

Sweet ideas, everyone. I think we're going to permit red deer (among a few other species. More details to come.)
Would you guys like to follow the general jargon from the book? It would be as follows:
Varg: A formal name for the wolf. Lera: All animals. Dragga: The alpha male of a wolf pack. Drappa: The alpha female of a wolf pack. Kerl: Lone Wolf. Putnar: The predators. Wolves, bears, etc. are putnar. Wolfbane: The devil. (to the wolves) Tor: Tor is the wolf Goddess, she is represented by the moon, or, is the moon. Fenris: Fenris is the male god. He represents the sun, or is the sun. Herla: Herla is what the deer call themselves. Sikla: A weakling- Or omega, of a pack. They're lousy hunters and don't make much of a use to the pack. They are usually mocked by the rest of the wolves in the pack. Balkar: Balkar is a pack of male wolves. They are feared by females mostly because the wolves lack defense against these strong bachelor groups. Faemme/Fae: Means female wolf. Mann: Male wolf. Tratto's Blessing: This is a particular howl that wolves emit when they are about to enter a foreign pack land and are asking permission to enter.
Larn: Evening or the falling of the moon when (most) creatures rest. GOD TO BE Brailah: A hedgehog. It is considered to be highly an insult when called a brailah, for that is represented for a coward or weakling.
