How slowly the femme walked; being so young, she should have the bounce in her step that most did. She should be bursting with energy, a playful light dancing in her eyes. Alas, no. This is not the case. The red wolf dragged her feet as she lugged her sorry excuse for a body towards the waters edge. She looked around her, not making a sound as the bitter wind nibbled at her hide.
Bellephron lay at the water's edge, her tongue creeping from it's cage, lapping delicately at the surface, as the cool liquid traveled down her throat. The female sat up slowly, having swallowed her fill, shaking her reddish-beige pelt in the process.
It had been days since the girl had rested. Her dreams were filled with the jaws of an unseen enemy, lurking in the shadows, waiting for her to fall asleep. It waited, as to eat her, and she was terrified.
Slowly, her eyes began to droop, the water settling in her stomach. It was so nice, lying by the water. The sound of snapping twigs to her left startled Bellephron, and she quickly looked up from the water's green-blue surface.
"Show yourself," She snarled, glaring in the direction the sound had come from.
